| Google Analytics does not track email open rates. It is not an email software first of all. I know of no free software that can do this. Companies such as Lyris, Topica and Constant Contact can do this -- but they are NOT free SEO Consultants SEO Company SEO Services |

| Analytics will tell them things that they did not already know about your site. It will tell them: - how much traffic you get from other search engines and on what search terms. - How much direct traffic you get, and from where. - How sticky your site is - what countries your site appeals most to - how well your ecommerce site converts to sales What pieces of this information google actually uses is unknown, but probably not a lot of it at this point. If your site doesn't perform well in some of these categories, especially an ecommerce site that doesn't convert, you might not want analytics on it. If it does perform well, google might consider it to be a higher quality site. For most things I prefer running awstats on my logs, but analytics does provide just enough additional information that I keep it on some sites. |
